Red Label Arts
Luciana Satta is a young Sardinian artist who reinterprets and re-elaborates the art of sculpting in contemporary goldsmithry. This artist attended the Accademia Di Belle Arti of Bologna, where she approached the mesmerizing world of metals during the foundry technique course. She discovered new metals and used them to give physical form to her ideas. She then studied in Florence at the “Le Arti Orafe” goldmithry international school, managed by Giò Carbone. She learnt traditional and contemporary goldsmithing techniques and started her study of a new, original, outsithe-the-box piece of jewellery, encapsulating the charm of the metals and the plasticity of a sculpture. After an interesting work experience in the Rome, she went back to Sardinia and started building her dream, Red Label Arts.
The workshop runs a number of different production lines, each of them with its own specificity, featuring unique pieced conceived and crafted by the artist. Far from a traditional approach, the collection includes pieces of strong visual impact, tactile jewels that play with and embellish bodies with in a new, original way.
The artist mostly cratfs 925 silver, that is not treated in galvanic baths, thus allowing the client to choose the colour even afted the jewl is completed. Through natural oxidation, the metal changes its colour with unespected and unique shades. Natural crystals are unually used, with their own beneficial and therapeutic properties, but also hard stones of several colours are included. Traditional goldsmithry techniques are implemented, as well as experimental and unconventional techniques.
