  • Being minimal in shape and basic in concept, the sculptures are the past versions of the latest Casette collection, which reinterprets the creativity of the traditional villages of Sardinia. They are made by the goldsmith using, in this case, basalt.

  • They are inspired by the typical profile of Sardinian villages: the distinctive small houses made with irregular and enriched by stylized shapes, enriched by different types of flowers and plants populate the ancient villages, giving the subject the dignity of a "jewel".

  • Crafted with quality craftsmanship, the choker and the precious gold and silver pendants feature stylized fish with graphic design and distinctive style of the goldsmith's contemporary and artistic production. Always different in form and size, they are unique and personal.

The artisan

In a charming natural setting in the village of Narbolia is the creative workshop run by Leander Lukas Loewe, where an original production comes to life, standing out for its artistic philosophy and the contamination of traditional techniques. His parents, Loewe Rainer Ernzt and Voigt Sabine Ursula, who were goldsmiths with a bent for artistic and creative experimentation, moved to Sardinia in 1981 starting a jewelry line that included local raw materials, coral and obsidian. In the early 1990s, in addition to the jewelry line, they added the production of Casette in trachite, artistic and decorative objects of the original character and personality inspired by Sardinian rural architecture, which became the flagship product of the workshop. Today Lukas, a master goldsmith trained at the Istituto d'Arte di Sassari, with the precious help of Lorella Tola, a long-time collaborator of the workshop, carries on the historical family productions and develops new ideas, innovating the creative process with a personal artistic sensitivity.

The collection

The production is characterized by a recognizable series of Casette (small houses), decorative items of particular aesthetic value, made of trachyte with precious and small silver details. Fascinating like miniatures, precious like artworks, the small houses remind of the dream-like setting of an ancient village of Sardinia, where silver details, doors, windows, plants, animals and people, bring life to daily routine. This production goes hand in hand with the jewelry collection resulting from the combination of the artisan's goldsmith skills and the typical signature of the artist, characterized by the contemporary expression in constant connection with the territory, reinterpreting and exploring the themes and ideas of dynamic and stylized collections.

The technique

The contamination of several traditional techniques determines the division into three areas: goldsmithing, with the contemporary jewellery collection and the silver inserts are applied to the small trachyte houses; the workshop of semiprecious stones, where the stones used to make jewels are processed with an original cut; the stone workshop, where trachyte is used to make houses and other home ornaments.
