Carpet
The artefact
This cotton and Sardinia wool carpet is decorated with warm diamond-shaped mustard-coloured patterns, dyed with natural colours extracted from local plants. The decoration is organized into three sections, including traditional modules, such as sa pianella, duplicated on the side sections and reminding of decorative tiles, or il trenino, a geometrical frame. The carpet is woven on a flat handloom following the a pettenedda technique.
