Four suns carpet picture
The artefact
This large hand-forged metal picture, finely painted in black and gold, places the sun in the centre. It was designed by the artist-designer Eugenio Tavolara for the renowned loomwoven fabrics of the village of Sarule, here cleverly inserted into a harmonious geometric composition of large modules invariably taken from local weaving. It is part of the Quadri Tessili (Textile pictures) collection, which counts decorative panels inspired by fabrics with prized and striking aesthetic effects.
