Phoenician-Punic Mask
The artefact
This evocative mask in natural hide revives the characteristic expression of the well-known grotesque grinning masks in Phoenician-Punic terracotta. Finely handcrafted, it is shaped on a wooden mould with procedures personalised by this craftsman, and produced as a sophisticated mask that can be either worn or hung on the wall.
