Gallinella Or
The artefact
The stylised moorhen, one of the main characters of Sardinian iconography, embellishes the collection of jars, available in different sizes and variants. Lathe-crafted and hand-decorated, they reinterpret the traditional colours of Oristano pottery, with their sophysticated yellow and green shades. Thanks to the skilled use of the slip technique, partially applied and alternated with thick glaze sections, sophisticated decorative effects are featured, different from each other, underlining the expressive strength and the high level crafsmanship of each artifact.
