Pintadera Chevron Pendant
The artefact
The prized circular and engraved shapes of this pendant in glazed ceramic with fine shaded colours with touches of light in gold and platinum, echo the charismatic figure of the Nuragic pintadera, an archaic well-wishing seal for bread, and in particular of the pintadera Chevron found in the well-known archaeological site Su Nuraxi in Barumini. Lathe shaped and with manual engravings, it is decorated with blends of crystal and glazes personalised by this ceramist, with prized lustre work which is realised with third firing and hand-woven cord.
