Sun pendant
The artefact
The circular shapes with relief motifs of this pendant in white and vibrant bordeaux glazed ceramic, with touches of bright gold touches, echo the charismatic figure of the nuragic pintadera, an archaic well-wishing seal for bread, and in particular of the one found in the Nuragic complex of Nuraxinieddu, a small village on the outskirts of Oristano. Handcrafted, it is decorated with blends of crystal and glazes personalised by this ceramist, with prized lustre work which is realised with third firing and hand-woven cord.
